On behalf of the Consistory and on behalf of all of you, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Stéphane and Cindy Desmarais for their ten years of service to our Church.
We hope that the vacation time will help us forget how much we already miss them, but to quote one of Stéphane’s recent statements (on the back of the Sunday worship bulletin of July 2nd), we can make Winnie the Pooh’s words our own: “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”
This summer, we will also have the joy of welcoming Pascale Renaud-Grobras, our new Pastor, who will begin her ministry in early September with her first worship service on September 3rd.
We rely on all of you to give her a warm welcome at the beginning of September. Don’t forget our back-to-school worship service on September 17th—mark it in your calendars!
We wish you all a wonderful summer.

President of the Consistory

Dear friends, brothers and sisters, and loved ones of the French Protestant community in Soho,
May peace be with you.
Here we are, Cindy and I, basking in the warmth and light of the South of France’s sun. We wanted to express our infinite gratitude and appreciation to each and every one of you for your presence, both near and far, at the farewell worship service on June 25th.
We were deeply moved and touched by all your expressions of sympathy, your well-wishes, and your testimonies of friendship. We thank the Consistory for masterfully organizing this beautiful day that brought us all together after ten wonderful years of sharing and listening together.
A heartfelt thank you for the beautiful gift you bestowed upon us, which is yet another sign of your affection.
Beyond that day, our true blessing was to have served you for a decade, which was the most beautiful experience.
You remain in our prayers and in our hearts.
With utmost fraternal love,
Cindy and Stéphane Desmarais
