Dear friends,
Some of you, present at the service on Sunday, February 4, learned from our pastor, Ms. Pascale Renaud-Grosbras, that her ministry among us would not extend beyond her one-year probatory period.
This decision, which was unanimously made by the Consistory after a long process of reflection, may come as a surprise to you. It is not a critique of our pastor’s theological qualities.
However, due to specific personal circumstances of Ms. Pascale Renaud-Grosbras, which we cannot disclose publicly, we have jointly come to the conclusion that our respective expectations were too far apart to consider a close long-term collaboration.
A mediator, whom we all wish to thank, intervened to help us rise above this difficult situation.
We are counting on Ms. Pascale Renaud-Grosbras to carry out all the activities related to her ministry until June 9, 2024. The already planned activities will be maintained. Pascale may need to travel to France as part of her search for a new pastoral position, and the consistory is working to ensure the continuation of services during her absences.
We are committed to maintaining a serene environment within our Church to ensure a smooth transition. We are, of course, at your disposal to answer any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
The Consistory of the French Protestant Church of London
