Consistory Meeting
Thursday, 20 March at 7:30 pm in the Soho Room
Bible Study Group
Session led by Pastor Évelyne Schaller, based on the biblical encounter method known as “Bibliologue”, developed by Peter Pitzele, a North American Jew. This is a communal approach to a biblical text, which can be understood as a modern form of Midrash, the Jewish method of biblical interpretation. It is based on the principle that the meaning of the text emerges in the process of reading and reception. This process relies on the idea that human beings fill in the gaps of the text with their own experiences.
Évelyne Schaller warmly invites you to embark on this journey into the heart of the text, with respect and attentive listening to all. Characters, objects, and places will be evoked, and if you feel inclined, you may bring them to life through your words, thus contributing to a richer understanding of the text. She will weave in the art of storytelling and immerse you in one of the many biblical stories, which are also our stories. The chosen text is never revealed before the session.
The following sessions will take place on 24 April, 22 May, and 19 June.
Sunday, 23 March
Service led jointly by Pastor Évelyne Schaller and Phoebe Woods, including the confirmation of Aurore Nègre.
Also on Sunday, 23 March at 5 pm, you are invited to join the Francophone Worship Service organised by the CEPF as part of Francophonie Day. It will be broadcast live from the Protestant parish of Marrakech.
This service is open to all, and we will experience it together in the nave.
This is a wonderful opportunity to discover the diversity of our Churches and celebrate the richness of the CEPF and the universal Church. Don’t miss this special moment!
